El Dr. Christian Kilger nació en Estados Unidos y creció tanto allí como en Alemania. Después de finalizar sus estudios de Genética y Bioquímica en la Universidad Ludwig-Maximilians (Munich), completó su doctorado en Biología Molecular investigando nuevas tecnologías en secuenciación de ácidos nucleicos  en el laboratorio del Profesor Svante Pääbo. Durante su post doctorado en el Instituto Max Planck de Genética Evolucionaria, así como en el Laboratorio Europeo de Biología Molecular, el Dr. Kilger dio clases y conferencias.

En 1997, se unió a LION bioscience AG, una compañía de biotecnología de “NASDAQ”, donde se desarrolló como responsable de todas las cuestiones de Propiedad Intelectual durante su oferta pública inicial en la bolsa alemana y el “NASDAQ” en Estados Unidos.

En 2005, Dr. Kilger comenzó a trabajar en el Estudio Boehmert & Boehmert. Luego encabezó las oficinas de Vossius & Partner en Berlin. En 2012, fundó CH KILGER Anwaltspartnerschaft mbB con sus oficinas principales en Berlin, y oficinas en Munich y Buenos Aires (Argentina).

El Dr. Kilger ha representado a numerosas compañías de biotecnología, Farmacéutica, Diagnóstico, y Alimentos y Bebidas, en oposiciones y procedimientos de infracción de patentes. Así mismo, es el autor de numerosas publicaciones sobre patentes de invenciones en el campo de la biotecnología y frecuentemente realiza conferencias sobre el tema.

Ha trabajado de consultor para la ciudad de Berlin, así como para la Organización Mundial de Propiedad Intelectual, la Oficina Europea de Patentes y el Ministerio Federal de Investigación en Alemania en distintas cuestiones de Propiedad Intelectual.  Dr. Kilger fue mencionado repetidas veces en “Legal 500” y en “JUvE”.

En 2013, fue galardonado con el premio “International Client Choice Award in Intellectual Property Healthcare & Life Sciences”
